Fifty teams turned out for the 2010 Eberlins Boats & Motors Customer Appreciation event out of Robert Allen boat ramp. This is an annual event aimed at recognizing Customers for their ongoing business support, and has grown to become one of the larger events of the year on Mark Twain lake.
TON’s of attendance prizes were once again awarded to the teams during weigh in, which included: Baitcast Rods & Reels, tackle bags, boat cover certificates, Phoenix, Mercury and Yamaha apparel, cases of boat oil, Berkley Products, Reel cleaning kits, fish culling systems, 12 volt battery chargers, boat accessories, and other valuable merchandise…
The rising (and falling) lake levels and water temperatures made for a very tough day on the water. Most anglers reported catching their fish on plastics, jigs, and crankbaits, but finding a five fish limit proved to be a challenge.
Twenty seven teams weighed in a total of 75 fish for 183 pounds, with only one dead fish brought to the scales. A total of five limits were weighed in.
Winning this year’s event was the team of Charlie Kunkel and Mack Tucker with a five fish limit weighing 14.05 lbs. Charlie and Mack reported catching their fish on brush hogs at the “other end” of the lake. The key to their pattern was to “keep the bait in 3’ of water.” The team was awarded $2000 for their first place finish.

Taking 2nd place was Bill Couch and Lamar Utterback with a five fish limit weighing 13.13 lbs. This team also reported plastics at their primary bait, and was awarded $1000 for their efforts.

Finishing in 3rd place was the team of Mike Whelan and Tim Patrick. Mike and Tim fished worms, tubes and brush hogs in the lower lake area and weighed a limit of fish for 12.53 lbs. Mike and Tim were awarded $500 for their 3rd place finish.
